Description
Vector has full time Survey Assistant positions available in Fort St. John. In this position, you will be assisting the Crew Chief in performing land surveys for various industries throughout Alberta and British Columbia. Duties will require the safe operation and maintenance of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), varied survey equipment, on and off highway vehicles, tools and field supplies.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and be willing to work 40 hours per week with the potential for overtime. You must be willing to do physically demanding work outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Travel out of town will be required.
No experience is necessary, however preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of survey equipment and familiarity with all facets of surveying including, but not limited to, oil and gas surveys. Safety training is required and candidates with up to date certifications (First Aid, H2S, and Chainsaw) will be given preference.
Candidates will be subjected to pre-hire drug and alcohol screening.
